Forget Mars, The Human Believe can live in The Asteroids

MASSAPEDIA NEWS - Mars is not the only planet that is claimed to sustain human life. NASA recently predicted that the asteroid could also be used as a residence. The asteroid is the American space agency is not unusual asteroid, but has great size as to deserve to be called minor planets. The asteroid was named Ceres.

NASA is already preparing multiple asteroid mission to come, starting with sending a drone named Dawn who is scheduled to arrive in March 2015.
Dawn recently managed to capture images of Ceres from a distance of 1.2 million kilometers. Ceres dubbed 'dwarf planet' that allegedly could reveal the origins of life on Earth. This is what makes the asteroid was believed to sustain life.

Ceres has a diameter of 950 kilometers, or if this asteroid has described the size of the area of the State of Texas, USA. Found on January 1, 1801 by mathematician and astronomer from Italy, Giuseppe Piazzi. This giant asteroids orbiting the sun in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.

Like Earth, in its interior, axle Ceres has a denser material and mineral deposits that are lighter on the surface. Ceres because the crust is thinner than Earth's, astronomers believe there may be water ice buried deep below the crust. They also estimated Ceres contains 25 percent of the water that possibly more than the fresh water on Earth, about 40 times as much.

Researchers from the University of Giessen, Joop Houtkooper be one who believes the origin of life comes from Ceres.

The early history of the solar system formed the period known as the Late Heavy Bombardment, a period in which the chaotic rumble nan devastating impact of the asteroid was common. When life on Earth existed before this dangerous era, a sign of civilization has been destroyed and had to start from scratch after the number of cosmic debris that by the time it should have been cleaned.

Interestingly, Ceres reportedly spared from the devastating attack at the time. If hit by Ceres, a giant asteroid this means losing the entire mantle of water due to gravity is too weak to 'catch' back.

Hootkooper said Ceres still could provide data on the early history of the formation of the Earth's oceans. If Earth were sterilized by colossal impacts, but Ceres 'receive' civilization survived, then does this dwarf planet back to sow our life with broken rocks chipped dann hit Earth?

If the hypothesis of Houtkooper is correct, then it is very likely all organisms on Earth, including human civilization, is a derivative of Ceres.

Let's wait how NASA research results when successfully visited Ceres is scheduled to arrive in March or April.

Dawn Mission has been launched since 27 September 2004 last. The purpose of this mission is to study two asteroids objects, namely Vesta and Ceres. Vesta asteroid composition itself is full of rocks, in contrast with that Ceres is believed to contain a lot of material ice.
