Defeated in the Iowa Caucus, Donald Trump Wants to Buy Ranch Land


MASSAPEDIA NEWS - US presidential candidate election of Republicans and Democrats began in Iowa with a system of caucuses on Monday night (1/2). Democratic presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders still competing. While Republican Ted Cruz has declared victory in the first place, putting Donald Trump in second.

Cruz unexpectedly outperformed Trump with 28 percent, while Trump himself was at 24 percent, according to a Reuters report.

In response to this defeat, Trump gives a classic reaction that he was thankful to get second place. Trump explained that when he started the campaign, he even predicted did not get a chance to be a top 10 candidates.

"On June 16, when we started this journey, everyone told me, do not go to Iowa. They said no, but I say, I should do it," Trump said in a speech in Iowa after caucus results were announced, quoted by CNN.

"And now we are in the second position. And I can only say, I'm flattered, really flattered. I would like to congratulate Ted, and I would like to congratulate Mike Huckabee, who has been a friend of mine who is very good," said Trump.
