Sam Smith Presents his The Oscar for The LGBT People


Sam Smith could not contain his excitement expression overflow when called up on stage to accept the Oscar 2016 in the Dolby Theatre Los Angeles, Sunday (28/2) evening local time.

Smith won the Best Theme Song passing Writing's On The Wall which became the anthem for the Spectre, the latest James Bond movie new release around October. That song was censured because of the different character than the other songs of James Bond.

But in fact, the song that won several awards. Having won the Golden Globe Awards, the Academy Awards yet he excelled.

This is the first Oscar for Smith. He said he could not breathe when I finally grasped the cup. His first compliment actually ejected for Lady Gaga who appeared before.

After that, Smith said, "I read an article a few months ago from Sir Ian McKellen and he said, no openly homosexual men and managed to win the Oscar."

Smith insists he has proved that the presumption was wrong. In fact, he is admitted to a homosexual since the first album, won an Oscar.

"Then, I want to dedicate this [Oscar] for the LGBT community around the world," he said. "I stand here today as a proud gay man and I hope we can stand together and similar someday."

After closing his speech with thanks, Smith went down. While the audience is still applauding the courage of Smith speeches and dedicate the trophy to LGBT.

In the category Theme Song Best, Smith defeated The Weeknd singing Earned It's Fifty Shades of Grey, David Lang singing Simple Song # 3 for Youth, song Manta Ray for movies Racing Extinction, and the songs of Diane Warren and Lady Gaga Til It Happens To you.

The song that was recently played Gaga and praised by Smith as an unusual appearance at the Oscars.
