KPU : Do Not There Efforts Other Way


Attorney of the General Elections Commission (KPU), Adnan Buyung Nasution, asked the parties to accept the verdict of the Constitutional Court (MK), which will be read out by the judge this afternoon.

"You shall have no other way effort. Pity the people of Indonesia. How is the course of democracy if the parties are not willing to accept?" Adnan said when interviewed before the hearing, at the Court House, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta, Thursday (21/8).

According to him, the people of Indonesia need political education and democracy. "So that people can understand and appreciate the meaning of the legal process at the highest tingjat," said Adnan.

Earlier, in a press conference, the Secretary General of the Constitutional Court, Janedjri M Gaffar mention the Court's decision on the dispute in the 2014 presidential election results are final and binding.

"There is no legal remedy after that. If other remedies that have nothing to do with the decision of the Court, so go ahead," said Janedjri in his office, the Court, on Thursday (21/8).

Today, the judge will read the verdict of the disputed 2014 presidential election results at 14.00 pm. The session was led by Hamdan Zoelva judges and eight other members. Based on the attendance list from the clerk of the Court, the hearing was attended by 26 legal representative of the applicant (Prabowo-Hatta), 12 attorney requested Party (KPU), the six commissioners, 20 attorney related parties (Jokowi-JK) and the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu ).
