Justin Timberlake and Will.I.Am Accused of Doing Plagiarism


Collaborative work of singer Justin Timberlake and rapper Will.I.Am (whose real name is Will Adams) lawsuit for allegedly hit plagiarsime results.

Reporting from People, on Thursday (18/2), the work is titled Damn Girl, which entered the music album FutureSex / LoveSounds in 2006.

The lawsuit was filed by the record company Music Performance PK saying, song Damn Girl imitating the song A New Dey Is Here At Last, a song written and sung by Perry Kibble J.D. Davis in 1969.

In the lawsuit, PK Music Performance claims still owns the copyright of the song, although Kibble had died about 17 years ago.

Initially, the contract copyright ownership A New Dey Is Here At Last is owned by the sister Kibble, Janis McQuinton, which is one of the leaders in the PK Music Performance.

Then, the entire copyright McQuinton submit the song to PK Music Performance.

Therefore, the PK Music Performance disappointed with plagiarism committed Timberlake and will.i.am.

"Things are substantial in the song A New Dey Is Here At Last contained in the song Damn Girl. Some of it is the rhythm of the drum, conga, organ, bass and saxophone," wrote the PK Music Performance in the letter of complaint.

PK Party Music Performance and asked to Jive Records, the record company Timberlake and Will.I.Am, to no longer broadcast the song Damn Girl. Both were also asked not to sing the song again.

Although the request was no longer listed and bringing broadcast, it is not known how much money is requested PK Music Performance for alleged copyright infringement.

FutureSex / LoveSounds is the album that was released on September 8, 2006. The music album was produced by Nate "Danja" Hills, jawbreakers, Rick Rubin, Timbaland and Timberlake was recorded during November 2005 to June 2006.

The album FutureSex / LoveSounds is a music album solo second after Timberlake Justified released in 2002 and the 12 "Masters - The Essential Mixes which was released in 2010.
