MASSAPEDIA NEWS - Following a strong reaction from Japan and South Korea about comments Donald Trump who plan to withdraw US troops from the two countries, US President Barack Obama said the presidential candidate of the Republican Party did not know a lot of foreign policy and international relations.


In an interview with the New York Times on Sunday (27/3), Trump said he would withdraw US troops from the two US allies and replace it with nuclear weapons.


Trump said he would consider Japan and South Korea to build their own nuclear weapons, to address the security threat from North Korea and China, rather than just relying on the protection of the US.

Obama is often did not hesitate to show his dislike of Trump-style campaign, including the matter of the Trump comment.


"Your report [about the commentary Trump] shows what? That people who launch such remarks do not know much about foreign policy negari or nuclear policy, nor about the Korean Peninsula, or about the world as a whole," Obama told reporters in a press conference summit Nuclear security in Washington, DC, Friday (1/4).

Japan and South Korea, which are the two major US allies have been considered important by Obama as a pillar of the US presence in the Asia Pacific region.


Obama said that US relations with these two countries provide benefits for the US trade and prevent nuclear escalation and conflict.


"It's not messing around. It is an investment which is based on the sacrifice of our men and women fighters in World War II used to be when they fought all over [Asia] Pacific," Obama said.

"We do not want someone [served] in the White House who do not recognize how important this is," said Obama.
