"Pacific Rim 2" Will be Handled New Director

MASSAPEDIA NEWS - Pacific Rim 2 production was hampered when Guillermo del Toro no longer serve as director in the film. But it did not take long for Legendary Pictures got a replacement.

According to Deadline, Steven S. DeKnight which is the figure behind the television series titled Spartacus will debut the film length. NME reported, he had signed a contract.

DeKnight seemed impatient to start the movie length through Pacific Rim 2. While Del Toro argues, changing the director will bring something new.

"I'll find something new. As crazy ideas that come every second," he said. "It will be very different. You will witness the spectacle that is really great," he added.

With the advent DeKnight, director of the Pacific Rim, Del Toro will move into the role of screenwriter. The current scenario is written by Jon Spaihts and based on characters created by Travis Beacham and Del Toro himself.

Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, Del Toro, and Mary Parent will help DeKnight be a producer. While Jillian Share helps figure who also worked on the series Smallville and Daredevil was as executive producer of the Pacific Rim 2.

Ron Pearlman reportedly back as Hannibal Chau. While Charlie Hunnam will return to repeat his role as Raleigh Beckett. The plan Pacific Rim 2 will be released 7 April 2016.
